Hi, my name is Ensar Senlikoglu.

I’m an actor, photographer, and cinematographer. I work mostly with people, faces, atmosphere, movement, and all the little things that usually happen before or after someone realizes they are being photographed.

I like images that feel a bit unfinished. Not careless, but alive. Analog photography taught me to appreciate that: the grain, the waiting, the mistakes, the fact that you cannot check everything immediately. There is something honest about it — something closer to memory.

I don’t want to make people look perfect. I’m more interested in how they actually are: the awkward smile before the real one, the quiet moment in a room full of people, the way someone holds themselves when they forget to perform. Maybe that also comes from acting; you start to notice when something is forced, and you start to care more about the moments when it isn’t.

My work moves between photography and cinema. Sometimes it is portraits. Sometimes it is behind‑the‑scenes. Sometimes it is something more intimate, more raw, more like a scene from a film that was never made.

People who like mood, texture, imperfection, character. A bit of romance, but not the fake kind. A bit of darkness, but not for decoration. Something that feels personal.

I’m still becoming the person I want to be in this work, and maybe that is why I like photographing people in transition too: people changing, searching, falling in love, starting over, trying to understand themselves.

Those moments make sense to me.
That is what I want to photograph.
